Please discuss the positive aspects of dentistry with your child.  Convey good feelings about dental visits being a part of growing up.  Please avoid using words such as “needles,” “shots,” or “hurt.”  Please do not threaten your child into brushing his/her teeth in order to avoid getting “drills” or “needles.”  Expect your child to react well and enjoy the first visit to our office and chances are he/she will do exactly that.
